ESPN Fantasy
The ESPN Fantasy app is ESPN's flagship fantasy sports platform, where fans draft players, manage rosters, and compete in leagues across football, basketball, baseball, and more. Millions of players join each season with friends, coworkers, and fellow fans to track live stats, set lineups, and chase a championship.
Our goal was to give the ESPN Fantasy app a full refresh by updating the UI, and introducing new features to our fans. I led the efforts to redesign the Player Page, which is where managers can update their rosters by adding players from the free agency to improve their teams.

Part of the refresh effort we wanted to redesign the experience of the player page to simplify, remove steps and reduce as much friction as possible for our managers.

In the early phases of the refresh, we explored bluesky concepts to determine what was possible before committing to a specific direction. These explorations allowed us to evaluate new ideas for the player page, initiate early discussions with stakeholders, and gain insights into what was ambitious, useful, and feasible to develop.

With the refresh of the player page, every screen was built to help managers find the information they need faster, add free agents with fewer steps, and move through the experience with more confidence. Some of the new features include quick add buttons that allow users to add players directly from the player page. Additionally, we have introduced a trending and recommended module to assist fans in discovering emerging players and those who could benefit their specific team.
